Steve Muzio
Senior Pastor
The goodness and providence of God brought Steve and Melanie together from different sides of the country, and very different background. Steve grew up a military brat with roots in California and Melanie a southern belle with roots in Alabama. Steve did not grow up in a Christian home; Melanie’s family were faithful church attenders. Steve and Melanie met in High School and shortly thereafter Steve came to faith in the Savior. A relationship developed thereafter and culminated in marriage in 1983 after Melanie graduated from Belhaven College.

Steve graduated a year later and ministry life began thereafter. Steve worked full time as Director of Youth Ministries in Mississippi and the Atlanta, Georgia area while also attempting to attend seminary part time. He graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary in 1992 and accepted a call to be assistant pastor in Dalton Georgia, again working with youth. A couple of years later Steve moved into a solo pastor role serving the Lord’s Church in Alabama, California and then in Iowa before accepting the call to serve the Savior and the saints at Hazelwood.

The Muzio’s have three grown children with their spouses and seven grandchildren.

Beryl Wickham
Director of Discipleship, Outreach, and Youth
Beryl grew up in Hydes, MD. She has two wonderful parents, an older sister, and a younger brother. By God’s grace, she does not remember a day apart from the Lord. In high school, she served on four short-term mission trips: Cherokee NC, Guadalajara Mexico, Huaraz Peru, and Yanama Peru. These experiences deepened her faith in Christ and fostered a heart for full-time ministry. She recently graduated from Geneva College with a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies and Missions as well as a minor in Business Administration. She studied abroad at Jerusalem University College in Israel taking graduate-level courses including History and Geography of the Gospels, which required extensive travel throughout the Holy Land. She has experience working in churches as an event coordinator, mission intern, and director of an enrichment center for students. Her hobbies include hiking, backpacking, singing, and swing dancing. Beryl has a heart for the Lord and is passionate about reaching the lost. She loves working with children and youth, longing for them to experience the true grace freely offered in Christ.
